54 Years and Counting Eagle Times Troop 25 marched in the annual Lempster, NH Old Home Day Parade on Saturday, August 12, 2023, during the middle weekend of its summer camp at Camp Kirkham. We are delighted to be a part of the Lempster community as we have been since 1969. Check out our photo and caption on page 2.

Heeding God’s Call Catholic Transcript Andres Galeano, a member of the Troop’s 1995 age group, will be ordained as a Catholic priest on June 24, 2023. In this interview, Andres talks about how important his Eagle Project was on his path to becoming a priest. Andres received his Eagle Scout award in February 2014.

Tolland Chamber Choir sends uplift around world Journal Inquirer TOLLAND — Twenty students and two alumni of Tolland High School, including Troop 25 Life Scout Tony Uriano, have formed the Tolland Music Virtual Choir to sing “A Million Dreams” in a hope-inspiring video that has been viewed by people in six countries and 26 U.S. states.

Hiking for a Cure: Bolton's Jonathan Maidment Completes the ‘Triple Crown' nbcconnecticut.com Jonathan Maidment, who received his Eagle Scout award from Troop 25 in 2012, has hiked the "Triple Crown." This means complete hikes of the Appalachain Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail, an 8,000-mile endeavor. Not only that, he hiked these trails for a cause: The Alpha-1 Foundation, for which he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Tunxis Professor Reaches Final Of Seven Summits Hartford Courant: Community News for the West Hartford Area FARMINGTON -- Tunxis Community College professor Mark Milewski successfully summited Indonesia’s 16,024-foot Mount Carstensz Pyramid on the island of New Guinea on Aug. 15, marking the completion of a project he started in 2007 to climb all Seven Summits, the highest mountain on each continent.

Manchester man completes Appalachian Trail Journal Inquirer MANCHESTER — Brian Michaud, 19, of Manchester completed the 2,192-mile Appalachian Trail on Aug. 10. Brian flew to Georgia on March 5 and began his northbound journey, completing the trail in just over five months. He is a 2018 graduate of Manchester High School and an Eagle Scout from Troop 25.

Eagle Scout helps evolve Butterfly Garden Journal Inquirer MANCHESTER — The Children’s Butterfly Garden at Northwest Park has received a major makeover.
Last spring the Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 25 of Center Congregational Church worked to improve the garden’s appearance and remove an invasive weed. Then, troop member Hunter Nodden took it a step further. Nodden decided to dedicate his Eagle project this year to rebuilding the worn down arbor. |

A new PlayScape has taken off at the New England Air Museum, thanks to Evan Pedneault of Troop 25 in Manchester, CT. Evan shepherded the Eagle Scout Service Project from the planning and creative stage through installation of the PlayScape and surrounding landscaping on Dec. 2, 2017. He reports it took most of 2017 to complete the project. |

Troop 25's seven new Eagle Scouts supervised their fellow Scouts and others in performing hundreds of hours of community service for a variety of organizations. Six of the young men received their award at a Court of Honor in late February and one more on Wednesday, May 10, at the Troop's May Court of Honor. Liam Patrick, John Albright, Trent Riewe, Mike Keeran, Brian Michaud, Ben Norman, and Robbie Blum are the proud recipients and join the more than four hundred Eagles in Troop 25 since its inception in 1916.

When Patrick Villandry was tasked with coming up with an Eagle Scout project, he knew he wanted to help out his alma mater, Assumption School in Manchester. "I wanted to do something challenging and rewarding," Villandry said at the Dec. 23 dedication of his project. "I wanted to give back to my old school."

Maidment, 19, of Bolton is a member of Manchester Boy Scout Troop 25. He hiked the trail to complete one of his personal goals, but also to also raise money for research of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a genetic disorder.
