Each Scout should own a sleeping bag, backpack, sleeping pad, poncho, and jack knife. Equipment need not be official Boy Scout issue. Official equipment, if desired, can be purchased at Hall's Arrow Indoor Archery or or the CT Rivers Council Boy Scout Office, 60 Darlin St., East Hartford, 289-6669. Many non-official items can be purchased at Farr's, 2 Main St., Manchester; where Troop members receive a 10% discount on camping equipment. Tell the cashier before the purchase is rung up.
