A boy can join Troop 25 at any time during the year. Typically, the Scouting program for new recruits begins in March of each year. Recruits meet Wednesday from 7-8PM in Memorial Hall of Center Church in Manchester. We encourage new recruits to come a little early so they have an opportunity to meet the other boys coming into the Troop. Meetings cover Scouting basics. The last Wednesday meeting for the school year is the Court of Honor in May when the recruit becomes an official Scout in Troop 25. Also in May, our Scouts march in Manchester's Memorial Day Parade. In June, our Spring Trip takes Scouts to see various attractions in New England such as the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, or the mansions of Newport, Rhode Island. The Spring Trip is the last Scouting function until summer camp in August at Troop 25's Camp Kirkham, located in New Hampshire.
