Below is a description of membership requirements for Boy Scout Troop 25 as well as the expectations for parent participation.

Join Troop 25

A boy may join Troop 25 of Manchester, CT if:

  • He is at least 11 years old, or will be 11 before the end of the year, or
  • He is in the fifth grade

We also welcome older boys who have an interest in Scouting. Contact us for details

Scouts are not required to live in Manchester and Troop 25 does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color or national origin. Troop 25 seeks Scouts interested in participating regularly in the fun, adventure, and learning activities of Scouting.

Parent Paticipation

All parents are expected to attend the three Court of Honors to be held at Center Church in February and May, and at Camp Kirkham on the last day of camp. They are expected to assist with the transportation for camps and financial activities when required. They are expected to encourage and assist their sons in meeting their obligations in the fall fundraiser and the spring grinder sale.

All parents may participate in the Troop Committee. Both men and women may be registered as adult members of the Boy Scouts of America for a fee of $10.00 which is paid to the national organization. It is not required that a person be registered to take part in the activities of the Troop committee, but all parents are encouraged to do so.
